We use your personal information, in the manners specified below, in order to ensure that we are able to deliver the highest quality service to you:

  • If we have a contract to fulfil our obligations and deliver the services under that contract

Who we share your personal information with.

In order to deliver our services to you, your data will be shared internally with our employees and agents who have a need to use your data. Your data will only be routinely shared externally in the following circumstance:

  • With our installation partners in order to fulfil our contract with you

Where we share data with external third parties, we ensure that they have systems in place of at least an equivalent standard to our own. Data sharing in the manners set out above enables us to ensure the best service is delivered.   • If you have a contract with us for the duration of that contract with us and for 10 years following the completion of any works
  • If you do not have a contract, we will store your data for 6 years from the date of collection

We rely on contract, and steps taken prior to entering a contract, as the lawful basis on which we collect and use your personal data. Where we contact you in relation to additional goods and services that are available, we rely upon legitimate interest as the lawful basis for processing your personal data.

Complaints Handling Policy.

Making a complaint.

As a Group, we are always sorry if our customers feel they have cause for complaint. This document explains how we will aim to deal with your complaint, our procedures as well as your rights if you remain dissatisfied. Our commitment to you.

  • We aim to respond to all complaints in a prompt, consistent and fair manner.
  • Your complaint will be investigated by a member of staff who was not directly involved in the subject matter and it will be looked into impartially. The member of staff will either have the authority to settle your complaint or will have ready access to someone who has sufficient authority.
  • We aim to resolve all complaints within 8 weeks. In the unlikely event that your complaint has not been resolved within this time, we will contact you to explain why we have still not resolved your complaint and tell you when we will make further contact.
  • Our final response will advise you of our findings and, where appropriate, what action is being taken to resolve the matter. We will address the subject matter of your complaint, and where the complaint is upheld, we will offer a resolution that is consistent with treating all of our customers fairly.
  • If you telephone us during our investigation and the member of staff handling your complaint is not available, then another member of our team will be able to help you.

Your rights.

  • If you are dissatisfied with our final response, you can either ask us to reconsider the case in accordance with our internal escalation procedure, or in the case of customers who have taken out credit agreements or paid for goods using a credit card, you can refer the matter to the Financial Ombudsman Service (see details below).
  • Eight weeks after us being in receipt of your complaint, you will have the right to refer your complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service, if your complaint involves the provision of finance, whether we have replied or not.
  • If you decide to refer your complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service, you must do this within 6 months of the date we issue our final response to you. After this time the Ombudsman may refuse to consider the matter.
